thomas pridgen bangs out woodstick!

November 10, 2010

Check out our boy, Thomas Pridgen, at the 2010 Woodstick BigBeat in Kirland this past weekend. Thomas, former Mars Volta drummer who now plays with his own band, The Memorials, was one of the featured drummers at this years Woodstick festival, where more than 400 drummers met up in an attempt to set a new record for playing drum sets simultaneously. Other featured drummers who came out to the event were Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp, Studio Legend), Alan White (YES), Steve Moore (“The Mad Drummer,” YouTube), Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot), Bryan Hitt (REO Speedwagon), Tony Coleman (B.B King), and Jeff Kathan (Paul Rodgers Band). If you missed this year’s mash up, don’t worry, it’s an annual event. Next year’s Woodstick Big Beat 2011 event will be held on Sunday, November 6th. For more info, check back on their website here.
