... the other Black experience

When certain questions are asked about why women are not of equal standing in certain situations I bring up that the vast majority of women on earth seem to do what male culture wants (more specifically why women follow along and are passive) for anyone who wonders what I mean, I supply this quote

"Determining the history of female bisexuality is more problematic, in that women in most of the studied societies were under the domination of the males, and on one hand had less self-determination and freedom of movement and expression, and on the other were not the ones writing or keeping the literary record."

Taking this out of context, I don't think most people realize just what exactly male dominated society does to the individual minds of women who follow it. Less self determination, freedom of movement and expression. This is hard for most men to comprehend of course because they're on the other side of the table unless we're talking about the what Eurocentric domination has done to non-Europeans then it's right on. Why is it so hard to understand the same mechanism of subordination is at work with some women?
