VIDEO PREMIERE: Black Violin Celebrates Freedom and #BlackLivesMatter in 'Stereotypes'

Violin and viola duo Black Violin challenges stereotypes in the video for the lead single from their upcoming album, 'Stereotypes'. Directed by Danny Hastings, the visuals are a tribute to the #BlackLivesMatter movement and to people who dare to be free. Band member Wil Baptiste tells us: "All my life I've been black and I've had to live with the reality of who I am versus who I'm perceived to be. As a black Viola player, it's my duty to defy every preconceived notion."
The upcoming album ‘Stereotypes’ (out September 18) features Black Thought from The Roots, Robert Glasper, Kandace Springs , Pharoahe Monch and more.

Great vid, music, & thought provocation! Stereotyping places us all in places we don't exist.
