video premiere: new zealand electro-soul artist noah slee collaborates with berlin based creative awhodat for latest visual – ‘sink’

December 9, 2015

Today we’re premiering the new music video from Electro Soul musician Noah Slee – ‘Sink’ (produced by KitschKrieg). The track is the second single from the Berlin based New Zealander’s upcoming EP, ‘To your inner hippy & cos you fly as fuck’ (out January 23rd 2016). He tells us: “‘Sink’ the video was a collaboration with myself and berlin based artist awhodat. The song inspiration at the time (one year ago) was being overwhelmed by the daily discovery of all current affairs and learning to decipher for myself what I wanted to believe and taking facts and deciding for myself my stand and my impact which is to make art and contribute through my story telling and my truths. One of the issues at the time and still to this day is the ‘free west papua movement’ … The song itself uses metaphors to explain my struggle at the time but now when I perform it or hear it, it translates to whats going on right in that moment. I do go deeper naturally with this joint it just has that affect on me live.” Watch below.
