video premiere: post-industrial musician militia vox shares spooky visual for single ‘born out of darkness’

I reviewed Militia Vox’s ‘Born Out Of Darkness’ a few months back and loved it then, so I’m very pleased that we get to show you the brand new visuals. This flashy, abstract video sees an art installation video projected across Militia’s expressive face as she sings, “You can’t control me/does that make you mad,“ with a grin. The spooky imagery, a project the musician created herself, features burning disco balls, a cross made out of lightening, and Rorschach inkblots. “It was important to me to kick off the visual aspect of my new album “The Villainess” in this way. I’m very much into video art / moving images and have followed the work of artists such as Nam June Paik for years. The visuals in this video help tell the story of the song and definitely give viewers a peak inside of my brain in a new way. The video is best viewed in the dark with headphones on,“ Militia Vox tells AFROPUNK.
