'We Out Here' Mini-Doc about inner-city kids seeking refuge in a community of misfit-punks and skaters

"There's no stopping a summer in New York City. We Out Here is a micro-documentary that chronicles the limitless will of a group of city kids who haven't been dealt the strongest hands, but are striving to overcome generational obstacles and bias in a popular sport. From evading gang life in Brownsville, to seeking refuge in a community of misfit-punks and skaters to avoid life on the streets, this is a story of celebration and survival. In a city where you have to find ways to land on your feet. Skateboarding provides these kids with a window of opportunity."
Many Afropunk kids are featured in this movie! Check the trailer below.
