WTF? Poll: Majority Of Republicans Believes Obama Wants Worldwide Islamic Law?

"A majority of Republicans believe that President Barack Obama “sympathizes with the goals of Islamic fundamentalists who want to impose Islamic law around the world,” according to a survey released on Monday.

That figure, buried at the very end of a newly released Newsweek public opinion poll, reflects the extent to which a shocking bit of smear and misinformation has managed to become nearly commonplace within the GOP tent.

A full 14 percent of Republicans said that it was “definitely true” that Obama sympathized with the fundamentalists and wanted to impose Islamic law across the globe. An additional 38 percent said that it was probably true — bringing the total percentage of believers to 52 percent. Only 33 percent of Republicans said that the “allegation” (as Newsweek put it) was “probably not true.” Seven percent said it was “definitely not true.” The rest (eight percent) either didn’t know the answer or didn’t read the question."

Really? come on now...all we have to do is pray? what the hell would be the point in that? if that were to be the solution that why do anything at all? just pray for it...don't go to work, just pray and jesus will pay your bills. don't even get out of bed! just pray and the bible will scoop you up off of your bed and miracle your ass around town like a magic carpet! i don't mean to be TOO disrespectful but seriously, it's more disrespectful to insult others by making those kind of evangelical "we're all doomed/pray for your salvation/there is only one true god and it's mine" type of rhetoric.

Comment by Sticker-aka Danny Lopez on September 2, 2010 at 2:24pm: fuckin ridiculous. sad and disgusting. the only positive side of all this "tea-party, neo-con, border security, anti-Obama" racism that has overcome our country since our presidents victory is that it is bringing race to the forefront again. when so many of the white population had come to think "racism is over, everyone has equal opportunity" it has resurfaced in a way that will hopefully force them into a self-reflective realization revealing their deeply seeded racist tendencies and arrogance. fuck em. and fox news.
