... the other Black experience

CNN recently did their second Black in America special. Here is my black woman in a America tribulation:

Two weeks ago my best friend of 20 years had her 25th birthday party. A cook out, with a couple of her friends and a larger number of her boyfriends friends.

There i met Alex. A 20 year Cuban kid who had hopes of being a music producer preferably in the hip hop genre. You know that kid. He constantly uses lines from songs in his dialogue. the kid who claims he only likes black women. At the final act of the play that is the party, when every one is passed out, he and i stayed up cuddling, kissing, watching tv, and choppin' it up.

Fast forward: one week later i request him on Myspace. He doesn't accept, and at this point of two weeks still hasnt accepted. he apparently checks his account, but is in fact, ghost.

I had been scratching my head about what went wrong. Then it dawned on that me: Alex is the perpetrator. You know that kid, he claims he exclusively partial to black woman, when in reality, he's partial to sleeping with black women, not dating them.

A part of me felt i should have known he was that kid, simply because, I've met him before.

My ex boyfriend's best friend at one point was, Nestor. An Ecuadoran cat from Jersey City, my hometown as well. Nestor slept with all races. However, on a couple of occasions I'd heard or overheard him talking recklessly about black woman.

Yeah, we have Obama in office, yet still, this racism shit is real folks.

It's not what people say, it is what they do. There are black men who do the same thing this guy did to you. It does suck that it seems that people don't seem to "get it" when it comes to black women, but it seems from my limited knowledge of your situation that it could be some combination of immaturity, racism, sexism, and selfishness. Don't take it personally; at least he showed you who he was from the jump.
