zoe kravitz joins ‘harry potter’ spin-off, cast in ‘fantastic beasts and where to find them’

After fans raised eyebrows and questions about racial representation in David Yates’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them—a prequel spin-off of the Harry Potter series—musician/actress Zoe Kravitz joins Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, and Jon Voight for the much anticipated installment. It’s currently unclear who Kravitz, who was added after production began, will be playing, but there’s already word that her character will have more to do in the film’s sequel, slated for release in fall 2018.
