It's no problem. Nice response back to me. If you practise w/o realizing it, I guess you are already the padawan learner of drumming. lol Yeah, Justify My Love beat has a cool groove in the round. I don't know who produced that song, but they did a good job.
Sweet. I hope it helps and that you find more resources for the beginning drummer. One thing I know is that you want to work on the basic rhythm archetypes and independence. So I'm told. I'd learn to play the drums to play that cool rhythm in Madonna's Justify My Love, which is a VERY much slowed down rhythm from a sample of an old Black Soul band.
Carry sticks with you at all times and practice on your knees, or use your finger tips. Ive always seen drummers doing this constantly.
Welcome Naomi. I'm not a drummer but I looked at some good and interesting drummers. The drummer for Lenny Kravitz is good and does clinics. She has a website with tips for drummers, incl. basics. The drummers for Beyonce's live band are good too, but I didn't see any tips. Drummers tend to be into jazz drumming in addition to rock or punk, and stress fundamentals to advance - back to basics, focused, after learning to drum. Lemme see what I can find.
