‘322 jefferson’ movie project

October 2, 2013

Filmmaker Elisa Peebles tells us: “It’s set in gentrifying Brooklyn and works with the tensions between the diverse people who live there. It reckons with queer identities, the intersections of race and class, and what it really means to be a 20-something trying to define oneself in a radically diverse urban landscape. This is done by examining a romance between two Bushwick residents: Sadie, a “well-intended white girl” new comer and Nazara, a brooklyn nuyorican, and their very different experiences with queerness and their neighborhood.”
