Iris Gold and MNEK have teamed up for a special cover of ‘Freak-A-Holic’ by Egyptian Lover.

The track was born spontaneously in the studio when Iris showed MNEK the video for the original on YouTube, and the two decided the sexy 80’s funk-house gem was due an update.

The video for the collaboration came together equally spontaneously, filmed during a Halloween warehouse party at a communal space shared by various friends and artists in Hackney Wick where Iris was staying.

Bringing together deep analogue bass and neon-lit synth funk with Iris’ playful vocals and MNEK’s backing hooks, ‘Freak-A-Holic’ presents another compelling facet of Iris’ freewheeling creative spirit.
