A test of bravery.

he was taken off of stage because he was boring the audience by doing the same song for half an hour.

He probably would have had a stronger impact had he just dropped the music during the ONLY ONE BAR ABOUT OBAMA then continued with his set. Or better yet made a new song, one that wasn't already over to years old that was entirely about his political feelings and more relevant. But that's what a real working artist would do, not an opportunist or know-it-all would do. So we are left with his lack luster lyrics being repeated for half an hour just to make point. However, I do agree that the Obama administration, while in the white house, should better address the issues around errant drone attacks.

LUV IT LUPE!! Obama is  POLITICIAN & works in the best interest of billionaires...POINT BLANK PERIOD DOT! He was not elected, he was chosen so STOP needing ANY REASON to celebrate Blk ppl..it's overdone & lame!

Dont blame Lupe for utilizing his opportunity to say it in the face of Obama zombies. Blame the ass holes who didnt do the research on lupe. I hope they dont work for the "president" bc once again it proves that politics & Amerikka is a fail! You woulda done it too if ur an artist..if u say you wouldn't you'd probably never be a successful artist bc publicity is every-thang silly wabbits!

But isn't it hypocritical for him to agree to the gig on behalf of the president and then bash him? So he did not vote for him or believe in him but you will take his money (or technically the countries money for celebrating him). Did he Lupe do it for free? I really, really doubt it... and that is a punk ass move. I saw Lupe at a Bassnectar concert 2 years ago and he acted like he was doing us a favor for being there. Totally fucked up attitude for the entire set.  Dude... why bother if you don't like the crowd? I agree that the people who hired him for the inauguration should have know about his music and views but he is still an ass for doing it in the first place. The right thing would have been to say "Thanks but no thanks because I think the president sucks." and keep it moving. That is what a decent man would have done.

My response is similar to that of MIA at he superbowl. Anyone who did not pay attention to their music will pay the price for not doing their research. Why would you put a guy who called him a terrorist in their inauguration?

Whoever agreed to have Lupe perform knew what he states in his songs. They know his political stand points. I don't understand why they cut him short as if they were surprised. I like it. It shows that depending on your topic choice that they will try to take away your freedom of speech. I enjoy Lupe's refined lyrics. They show more depth than how she'll dance for bands or how many rolies he owns.
