South African Punks National Wake Performance 1979

1979 National Wake performance at Box Theatre, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Legendary South African punk-reggae band National Wake have revealed newly discovered and previously believed lost audio tapes of early live gigs in Johannesburg, 1979. Here is the first evidence to surface thus far...wake of the nation!
Gary and Punka Khoza, Paul Giraud, Mike Lebesi, and AP member Ivan Kadey.

@Lars - strange but true, the Khoza brothers- bass and drums- had a band just prior National Wake, called The Monks.

Righteous blend of Bad Brains (who they predate) and The Monks! The drummer slays it thin!

figure you would have to have been there, South Africa 1979, or imagine the situation that existed then with race legislation proscribing human relationships, especially sex.
